Volunteer Opportunities
The Shade Tree Commission currently is seeking a new member for a three year term. We welcome your interest!
Membership involves the following time commitment per year:
~10 hours - (10 one-hour meetings per year)
~3 hours distributing trees at Communiversity
~3 hours celebrating Arbor Day
~2 hours surveying trees in one's neighborhood
~3 hours identifying locations for new plantings
~10 hours working on one of the objectives outlined in the current five-year-plan
~5 optional hours attending tree-related seminars or courses to meet CEU requirements
More hours are accepted cheerfully! Most of the tasks above can be done on one's own time.
